Don
Lipp
- Aberdeen, SD
Don founded 605Touring Co. in 2005 and is also the day-to-day Manager.
Don's background is in Accounting (or "bean-counting" as some like to say) with a Farm Implement & a Car Dealership. That's a bit of an unusual background for this sort of venture,
but Don's love for the State of South Dakota (and
beyond) and a keen interest in it's people and places, and the history behind them, have "nudged" him to this point for many years.
Don fancies himself as quite the ping-pong (that
is, table tennis) player
and extends a challenge to anyone that might be
interested. Actually, Don is getting quite
arrogant in his ping-pong skills and someone needs
to humble him a bit! |
Mitch
McClain
A former law enforcement officer, Mitch is now part of the Custer, SD community development. He plays the part of General George Custer and can frequently be found walking the streets of Custer.
An avid outdoorsman. He has been in movies, such as Hidalgo, and is currently working on a PBS Documentary about the Old West. |

Russel
Frink
Born in Mystic, SD in 1921, Russel Frink had an idyllic childhood. Panning for gold to buy his candy bars at his uncle's nearby store and King fly
fisherman of 3 area creeks, he was delighted to supply his heroes (the Burlington RR engineers of the big Mallet steam locomotives) with a frequent string of trout. After Naval service through WWII and retiring from Boeing Aerospace Divisions in Seattle, WA,
Russel is back home in the Black Hills where Mystic is now a National Historic Site. He still maintains a gold mine site in Mystic and thoroughly enjoys showing people local history, how to gold pan, and recreates echoes of Mystic's bustling past. |
